Goulash soup steaming in a cauldron or a cup of refreshing smooth strawberry crémesoup, goose liver frizzled on onions or light lasagne with vegetables, and a Somló sponge cake as big as a main course – everyone can find delicacy for its own taste in Geréby Mansion. We serve not simply meals, rather a gastronomic experience. The guarantee is Master Chef András Zala, who has been our Chef de Cuisine since the opening year 1986.
Our cuisine offers spit and grilled specialities besides meals in cauldron, which we suggest for group events. Outdoor goulash party, pork on the spit or ox grill, different kinds of grilled meat on charcoal make the offer more colourful for those who are not only looking for taste but spectacle as well. Besides savoury regional wine, good mood is provided by the excellent gipsy orchestra of the house.
For wine-lovers we have wine from the best Hungarian wine-growers. Being loyal to the regional character of the Geréby Mansion, we offer “Cserszegi Fűszeres” as Wine of the House made by János Frittmann, who became Wine-grower of the Year 2007 as well as the Blue Frankish and the legendary Blue Frankish Rose. However, you will also find wines from other outstanding wine houses such as József Bock, Attila Gere, Ferenc Takler, Vilmos Thummerer, Péter Vida and Vylyan Winery.
